Historic Post Office Building

Location: Lake Pend Oreille, Sandpoint, Idaho

Originally home to the Sandpoint Post Office, and later the Bonner County Library, this highly significant historical building is a living monument to Sandpoint, Idaho’s colorful past. Dedicated in 1928, it’s been going strong since then.

In the fall of 2002, R.W. Bianco Construction worked on the historic Post Office Building on Second Avenue in Sandpoint. They designed, constructed and installed all of the ergonomic office workstations in the building, including the main receptionist's station. They also fabricated and installed all countertops, built and installed a separate custom office for the manager and fully functional employee's kitchen facility.

Being mindful of the long history of the building, Bob ensured that all phases of construction were respectful of the existing building’s character and structure. Simultaneously, he worked to bring the building to where the client wanted it to be, with all the technological capability of any contemporary office.
